How We Generated 35 Photography Leads in 8 Days for Less Than $3.00 Per Lead
Timeless Moments Photography by Frost wanted to do something special for local moms in honor of Mother’s Day. We recommended they run a viral Facebook giveaway contest that would generate excitement, goodwill, positive word of mouth and visibility in their local community while also helping them build a list of potential photography clients at the same time.

We launched the ad on May 2 and let it run for 8 days. During that short period of time the ad:
- was displayed to 4,827 unique women in our target audience (women ages 25-50 living within a 15 mile radius of the photographer’s place of business),
- generated 148 clicks and 90 post engagements (comments, likes, and shares), and
- 35 leads at an average cost of just $2.88 per lead.
We announced our five winners of the free photo session the day before Mother’s Day and they were all thrilled.
Our client is delighted with the results of this campaign and tells us it is by far the best investment of advertising dollars he has ever made.
An additional benefit to this campaign is the way it was structured to help him build his database of potential photography clients.
The names, email addresses and phone numbers for all contestants were automatically added to a Google spreadsheet as soon as they entered the contest.
Summary
The photographer’s potential return on investment in this ad campaign alone could easily be 10-20x his ad spend — or more — if he maintains communication with these women and gains word of mouth referrals from them as well.
